Who we are

Rentek operates smart rental hubs installed in residential buildings. For the purposes of the PDPL, Rentek is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. If you need to reach us about this policy, contact details are at the end.

What we collect

Through the enquiry form on this site we collect only what we need to respond to you:

• Your name and job title
• Your work email address and, if you give it, your phone number
• Your company name, city, business type and portfolio size
• Basic attribution data: the campaign or referring page that brought you here

We do not collect special categories of personal data through this site, and we do not ask for payment details here.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal for your building, and to keep a record of the conversation. Our legal basis is your consent, given when you tick the box on the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you initiated.

We do not sell your data. We do not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry alone.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it:

• Our hosting and database providers, who store submissions securely on our behalf
• Our customer relationship platform, where we track and follow up on enquiries
• Our internal messaging tool, which notifies the team that an enquiry has arrived

Some of these providers process data outside the UAE. Where that happens we rely on the transfer conditions set out in the PDPL, including contractual safeguards with each provider.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records. If a conversation does not progress, we delete or anonymise the record within 24 months. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Your rights

Under the PDPL you have the right to:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you and request a copy
• Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal obligations
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting past processing
• Object to or ask us to restrict how we process your data
• Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format

To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes set by the PDPL. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.

Security

Submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in access-controlled systems. Access is limited to the people who need it to do their job. No system is perfectly secure, but we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to tell you directly.
